Our first concert of the season was on Saturday 2nd November at St. Mary’s Church in Barnes, SW13 9HL. Conducted by our new MD, Alexander Turner, the concert, entitled ‘Lacrimosa – A Patchwork Requiem’, was a feast of extracts of requiem settings from the 16th–21st centuries, with pieces by Victoria, Mozart, Brahms, Fauré and Duruflé, with new music by Eleanor Daley.
